peyote stitch patterns - Colors of Fall

Fall?.......

No one is sitting in the chairs on the beach today...it seems sad.  In reality, it's a beautiful day.  The sky is clear, the Gulf waves are gently rolling onto the shore, the sand is warm, and the sounds are of an occasional lawn mower, airplane, or child.  All of this is a sign that the summer season is coming to an end, school is back in session, and brisk days will arrive one morning unexpected...yet expected.

I see our "Lord of all creation...." every time I walk the beach

My next peyote stitch beaded bracelet pattern series, Colors of Fall, was inspired by a starfish.  Not actually a live one, but one I saw while at the beach.

Both patterns in the Colors of Fall series are available now in my Etsy store.  You can find
"Fingerpaint" Here, and you can find "Window View" Here.

Coming Soon to my Etsy store: three patterns in the Chromatic Color series

peyote stitch patterns - Austin Swing

My first sighting of the Austin icon was while exiting the Austin, TX airport.  Huge, colorful guitars stand like statues in an iron garden, greeting travelers from far and near.
I found myself searching for the icons throughout the city as I walked along the sidewalks and toured with the Austin Eats food tour (a MUST if you are in Austin!)

The first in a series of two, Austin Swing, is available now in my Etsy store.  You can find the pattern Here.

Update:  Austin Star is now available for sale in my Etsy store; you can find the pattern here.

peyote stitch patterns - Playful Pink Floral

San Diego was a refreshing, cool break from the stifling Memphis heat and humidity.  A slow trip through the Comic-Con 2011 Convention area, then across the Bay Bridge to Coronado Island, and I found myself lunching under an umbrella and gazing over the Pacific.

Hotel del Coronado

My next series of peyote stitch beaded bracelet patterns was inspired by the architecture in this beautiful hotel.

The first in a series of two, Playful Pink Floral, is available now in my Etsy store.  You can find the pattern Here.

Update:  Burgundy Floral, the second design in this series, is now available in my Etsy store; find the pattern Here.

peyote stitch patterns - Retro Floral Twig

I love old stuff. I have a house full of old stuff.
The dish towel under the just baked brown sugar pop tarts was painted with Artex paint by my great aunt or grandmother 30-40 years ago.  (I told you I like old stuff.)

When I say old stuff, I mean family treasures handed down through the generations.  The creaks of the bed remind me of my grandmother; the drop leaf table reminds me of my uncle; the dishes remind me of Mom.

My next series of peyote stitch beaded bracelet patterns - "Retro Flower" - was inspired by the dish towel in the picture.

The first in a series of three, Retro Flower Twig is available now in my Etsy store.  You can find the link Here.

Update -- #2 is posted:  Retro Flower Duo is posted; you can find the link Here.
Update -- #3 is posted:  Retro Flower Power is posted; you can find the link Here.

thank you

It is with a humble heart and great appreciation that I say THANK YOU to my first Etsy store buyer.

I look out the window every morning and say a prayer of thanks to God for the beauty I have been given to behold.  From this beauty I create my peyote stitch beaded bracelet patterns.

Thank you again, T from OH.

What a blessing to share my art...

peyote stitch pattern - Light and Shadow

I'm just not a water person.  I love the view of water from a high bridge.  I love the view at the beach, but I don't want to swim in the water. I don't want to be on a boat that floats in the water.  And, I definitely don't want to travel under the water.

But, most people in Mobile eventually find themselves in this tunnel - under the Bay.

Light and Shadow is available now in my Etsy store.  You can find the link Here.

Coming Soon to my Etsy store:  a collection of retro floral designs
